Frankie, a beautiful 6-year-old Seal Point Siamese cat, was brought to Bangor Veterinary Clinic in early May. Frankie had a non-thyroid related throat mass initially discovered mid-April. There was no metastasis evident but the mass was enlarging rapidly and the Frankie was having difficulty eating.
Frankie’s owner’s income was under the federal poverty level so she qualified for the MAHF Companion Animal Fund.
Dr. Mary Isaac submitted an application to the foundation and the foundation agreed to cover up to $500 for surgical removal of the mass.
