Michigan State University Equine Welfare in Practice Clerkship (LCS 613b): Providing Primary Veterinary Care for Working Equids in Rural Mexico

Starting in 2017, Dr. Schott organized a collaborative clerkship experience for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students entitled LCS 613b – Equine Welfare in Practice. The clerkship consists of a number of pre-clerkship meetings in the fall semester to discuss expectations, code of conduct for international travel and work, and review literature on working equids.
